Krista R. Lininger

Krista R. Lininger, 73, of Connellsville, died Wednesday, Aug. 20th, 2025, at the home of her loving daughter in Jeannette. She was born on March 31st, 1952, the daughter of the late Ralph E. and Pauline Kooser Lininger. Krista was a graduate of Connellsville Area High School and Columbia School of Nursing. She passionately worked as a Registered Nurse at Forbes Metro Hospital before early retirement. Krista attended Faith Bible Church in Connellsville, and was a lifelong member of the Mill Run United Methodist Church. Her faith remained strong and helped her overcome decades of challenges associated with Multiple Sclerosis. Her perseverance and sociability was admired by all who knew her. Krista was adored her by grandson and had a joyful heart. She loved being outside where she avidly gardened in her flower beds. Krista was a charitable person and supported many worthy causes. She is survived by her daughter, Laura B. Likar of Jeannette; her cherished grandson, David C. Likar; her sister, Linda Benzinger of Cabot; her life partner, Clem Bettenissi of Penn Hills and several nieces and nephews and their families. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister and brother in law Karen and Robert Baker, and her brother in law William Benzinger Jr.. Family and friends will be received from 6-8pm Wednesday, also 2-4pm and 6-8pm Thursday in the BROOKS FUNERAL HOME, INC., 111 E. Green St., Connellsville where services will be held on Friday at 11am with Rev. Barry Witt officiating. Interment will follow in the Normalville Cemetery.
