George Hernandez was born on January 21, 1947 in New Braunfels, Texas to Andres and Elvira Hernandez. He was baptized on October 22, 1972 at the First Protestant Church in New Braunfels, Texas by Rev. Dr. Pugh. George was later confirmed on May 8,1994 at Immanuel Lutheran Church by Pastor Wilburn Michalk. His confirmation verse was Psalms, 27;1 "The Lord is my light and salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?" George lived an amazing life filled with faith, family, love, happiness and music. He was united in marriage to Virginia Dement on March 3, 1989 in Paige, Texas. George possessed a natural ability to touch those he met and is dearly loved by so many people who had the pleasure of knowing him. His charisma, character, loyalty, humor and warm caring heart all made an impression people didn't easily forget. George was blessed with a beautiful voice and incredible musical ability that began when he was a small child and continued throughout his life. George's love for music was a big part of him that he was happy to share with everyone because by doing so he actually shared his heart. George's music was so much more than notes, and words.
George was faithful to the Lord and had a special relationship with our Savior.
George passed away on April 29, 2025 at MD Anderson Cancer Center Hospital in Houston, Texas.
