1950 - 2022

KARIOTIS, George Was born on October 27, 1950 in Kalamata, Greece and died on July 25, 2022 while vacationing in Greece. He was doing what he loved, fishing! George was the son of John and Christine Kariotis; the father of Christie and her husband Eric Filiatrault of Nashua, New Hampshire and Loula and her husband Massimo Tiberi of Stoneham, Massachusetts. He was married to Madeline Kariotis for 33 years. He was also a loving grandfather of Tony, 16, George, 11, Aria, 10 and Enzo, 7. He was the brother of Pota Panagopoulos and her husband John of Norwood, Massachusetts and Politimi Smirni and her husband Petro of Athens, Greece. George also leaves behind many cousins, nephews and nieces in America and in Greece. In addition, he had countless friends in Florida where he spent his winters. George came to America in 1967 with his family. He graduated from Jamaica Plain high school and is still remembered in the Boston area for being the best goalkeeper for the Hellenic soccer team! Forty-five years ago he moved to Nashua, New Hampshire where he raised his family. He was also the proud owner of Nashua House of Pizza which has been in business since 1977. George was a force of nature, a rebel of sorts who lived life to the fullest. He will be missed by many but never forgotten. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend George's visitation in the Kfoury Keefe Funeral Home, 8 Spring St. (Corner of Centre St.), WEST ROXBURY, Tuesday, August 9 from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. with a Funeral Service to follow at 12 p.m. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions in George's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 would be sincerely appreciated. www.kfouryfuneral.com
