George Lee Roy Hathaway Obituary

Born on January 25th, 1960 in La Mesa, California he was preceded in death by his wife Jean M. Hathaway and mother Pauline B. Polanski.
He is survived by his father George L. Hathaway Sr., step father Ward A. Polanski and his five sons; James, Michael (wife April), George III (wife JoEllen), Steven and Christian (wife Karen). He had five beautiful grandchildren; Samuel, Charlotte, Hailey, James, and Hunter. He is also survived by his 3 siblings; Michelle H., Cristina C., and David P.
George spent his childhood in Santee, CA, and left for Michigan to live with cousins for several months at a time. He moved to Carlsbad CA, as a young adult and met his wife; Jean in 1982 and was married shortly afterwards. Together they moved to the Coachella Valley for a job opportunity, where they settled and raised their family. They remained happily married until Jean passed away in 2018. George made his career as a crane operator, his skills gained him a reputation where he was able to create long lasting relationships which gave him the confidence to start his own business with his wife Jean. Low Desert Rock Supply has been a culmination of their life's work and lives on to this day. He was a kind, generous, loving person and left an impact on everyone he knew. He will be greatly missed. His spirit will always live on in his five sons and greater family. May he be at peace with his beloved wife, Jean.
The Celebration of Life will be held at Miracle Springs Resort & Spa, 10625 Palm Dr, Desert Hot Springs, CA 92240 on Sunday March 23, 2025 at 12:00 p.m.
