George Dale Limbers, Jr., beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at age 64. He was born February 9th 1960 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana to the late George D Limbers Sr. and Coral Lois Jones.
Dale was a 1978 graduate of Redemptorist High School. He was a successful hardworking businessman and owner of Culligan of Southeast Louisiana, recently referred to as the “MacGyver” of water treatment who could fix anything. He loved to spend his spare time with family at their home away from home at Lake St. John. His hobbies included hunting, reading, and watching football, specifically the Dallas Cowboys, but most of all he loved to spoil his wife and grandchildren. He was a very kind and compassionate man with a huge heart who will be missed beyond measure.
Dale is survived by MaryBeth, his high school sweetheart and wife of 46 years; son Jason Limbers and wife Joni; daughter Jessica Ray and husband Michael; granddaughters Alexis Limbers, Payton Limbers, Makaylah Ray, Addison Ray; sisters, Suzanne Limbers, Shannon Pierce and husband James; brother Shawn Limbers and wife Christy; and numerous nieces and nephews and other loving family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents George D Limbers, Sr. and Coral Limbers and sister Vicki Rockford
Pallbearers will be Leland Limbers, Austin Pierce, Jacob Fryoux, Derek Morales, Jason Cline, and Jason Carnahan.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral services at Journey Church, 17407 Greenwell Springs Road in Greenwell Springs on Tuesday, April 9th 2024 with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. with the Funeral Service at 12 p.m. Burial will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory at 11817 Jefferson Highway in Baton Rouge.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to a cancer charity of your choice in Dale’s name.
Dale’s family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to all the nurses who took such special care of him, and to family and friends for all the loving support, including phone calls, visits, meals and prayers during this difficult time.
