George Michael Lovelace, a resident of San Antonio, FL, passed away on Tuesday, November 5, 2024. Born in 1948, Mike was a man of many talents and interests. He served his country in the Air Force and later pursued a diverse career path, working as a cable splicer, production analyst in the oil industry, charter fishing captain, and park ranger.
Mike was known for his problem-solving skills, quick wit, and kind nature. He was a gentle giant with a passion for music, creativity, and the outdoors. He enjoyed camping, was an excellent marksman, and had a love of cooking.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Sheila Lovelace, whom he married on May 6, 1977. He also leaves behind his daughters, Lori Williams and Christen DesHotels (Jeremy); his son, Kenneth M. Lovelace (Tara); his brothers, Steve Lovelace (Mary), Joe Lovelace, Robert Lovelace, and David Lovelace (Kathy); his sister-in-law, Joy Lovelace; and his cherished grandchildren, Hanna, Joshua, Andrew, and Ethan. He was preceded in death by his brother, Randy.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 10, 2024, from 4-6 pm at Daniels Funeral Home in Branford, FL. A funeral service will take place on Monday, November 11, 2024, at 2 pm at Daniels Funeral Home, Branford, FL, followed by interment at Oak Grove Cemetery in Branford, FL.
