George Marshall Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Bishop-King Funeral Home - Lake Village on Jan. 17, 2026.
George (Porgy) Abraham Marshall departed this life peacefully January 12, 2026, at the age of 61. George was born on November 14, 1964, in Eudora, AR to his parents Sam Jones, who preceded him in death and Elsie Britton. George accepted Christ as his Savior at an early age. He joined membership at King Soloman M. B. Church where he served faithfully under the leadership of Rev. Jesse C. Knight Sr

.

George graduated from Eudora High School and was a proud member of the class of 1984. He met and married the love of his life Joyce L. (Ownes) Marshall on May 20, 1995. God blessed their union with three precious children.

George will be remembered as a loving husband and devoted father. He was known and loved by many. He valued friendship and enjoyed hanging out with his friends. He never met a person that he couldn't relate to. His greatest joys were spending quality time with his twin sons and visiting his baby girl on the weekend. Most of all he loved watching his favorite television shows with his wife. George was a master carpenter by trade in addition to having worked in construction for many years.

He is preceded in death by his father, Sam Jones; two brothers, Marshall Louden and Quaderrick Jones.

He is survived by his loving wife, Joyce; two sons, Jarione Marshall (Porsha) of Athens, TX, Garione Marshall (LaQuita) of Eudora, AR; two daughters, Trudaya Johnson (Henry) of Conway, AR, and Na Chele Spencer (Maurice) of Little Rock, AR; five grandsons, Billy, Braylon, Connor, TeKendrics, and Treyvion; six granddaughters, Shawntay, Jada-Ann, Mariah, Samya, Heavenly, and Tilia; two great grandkids, Kanani and Lejend; his four sisters, Camyesha, Amelia (Tory), Sabrina, and Sydrana; six brothers, Arlando, Charles, Sherbert (Gwendolyn), Desmond, Sam (Laurie), and Billy (Cassandra), and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. at Bishop-King Funeral Home Chapel. Repast will be held at 101 Main Event, Eudora, AR 71640
