George Joseph Michael

George Joseph Michael, 76, a resident of Jackson, LA, died on December 30, 2025. There will be a funeral service on Saturday, January 10, 2026 at the Ethel Baptist Church in Ethel, LA at 10am, conducted by Rev. Anthony Clint Stewart. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Tamara Michael; two sons, John Michael and wife Carrie of Paducah, KY; Jake Gunter and wife Melissa of Hendersonville, TN; one adopted daughter, Latisha Dawn Gregoire, and husband Todd, one sister, Mary Pettijohn of Conway, AR; two brothers, John Michael of Columbia, IL; Terry Michael and wife Rose Michael of Waterloo, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Michael and Annie May Selvidge. Honorary pallbearers will be Ron Boling, Leon Causey, and Ed Jelks. He was a veteran of the US Air Force and served in Vietnam. He graduated the University of Illinois with a Bachelor of Science Civil Engineering.
