In Loving Memory of George Theodore Noffs 1987-2025

George Theodore Noffs, aged 38, of Chicago, passed away peacefully on September 19, 2025. Born in Chicago on July 25, 1987, he lived a life marked by academic and professional success. His kindness and gentle demeanor were only matched by his thirst for knowledge.

George graduated with honors from York Community High School in 2005 and was a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis in 2009, majoring in Chemistry. He subsequently received a Master's degree in Food Science from Rutgers University.

He left college and pursued a life filled with love, laughter, and bold adventure. He was passionate about art, music, and nature. He loved animals, he loved history, and he shared his fearless passion and perspective with close friends and family. He enjoyed hiking, a round of golf, hunting with his dogs, or an afternoon at Wrigley Field.

George was rightfully proud of his career. He was a brilliant food scientist with a proven track record of developing and launching beverage and food flavorings. He excelled in chemistry, research, experimental design, and data analysis, ensuring successful outcomes in all his pursuits.

George was the beloved youngest son of David and Laurie Noffs, the dearest brother of Sam and Harrison, and brother-in-law to Alex and Caitlin Noffs. He is survived by his aunts and uncles, many beloved cousins, and his precious niece, Penny.

He was a sweet and sensitive soul and was taken from us far too soon. We miss him terribly and will love him always.

" My body, like the clothes I wear, will one day belong to the dust of the centuries. But my spirit will continue its journey through time and space." Ted Noffs (George's grandfather)

A celebration in memory of George's life will be held at a future date.
