George Dennis Osborne

George Dennis Osborne, 71, passed away peacefully at his home in Lexington, KY on Monday, April 22, 2024, his 71st birthday.
George was born on April 22, 1953 in Philadelphia, PA. After high school, his family moved to Winchester, KY to be close to family. George lived most of his life in the Central KY area. He served in the U.S. Army and the National Guard and was a proud veteran. He also attended Eastern Kentucky University. He worked in sales and later as a Limousine Chauffeur with Gold Shield Transportation, even driving his daughter Sarah & her friends to their senior prom
George was preceded in death by his parents George Nelson and Ruth Dennis Osborne.
He is survived by his two redheaded daughters, Katie (Jesse) Calvert and Sarah (Adam) Rediford; and his beloved grandchildren, Brooklyn (10), Austin (6), and Griffin (3). He was married to Kathy for 23 years.
George enjoyed going to auctions and finding good deals to repurpose to others at his booth in Peddler's Mall. He would find unique treasures and gift them to those close to him. He was also a coin collector and history buff. He enjoyed watching horse racing and was an avid Keeneland and Kentucky Derby fan, always having the best picks ready for the races. He enjoyed hiking and riding the chairlift at Natural Bridge with his girls. His favorite place to eat was Ramsey's Diner, where he would order the KY Hot Brown and finish with a slice of Mayday pie à la mode.
The family will hold a Celebration of Life at Natural Bridge at Shelter #2 in Slade, KY on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at 1pm.
