George Pringle Obituary

Mr. George Daniel Pringle, 61, of Valdosta, stepped into glory on Sunday, February 22, 2026, while working in Mississippi. Mr. Pringle was born on December 11, 1964, in Dade City, Florida to the late Amos James Pringle and Phyllis Fay McCallister Keith.

He resided in Valdosta for the majority of his life and was currently employed with Allison Metal Fabrications. Mr. Pringle wore many hats over the course of his life but his biggest achievement in life was being called Papa. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, deer hunting, dirt track racing and tinkering around in the yard. Mr. Pringle attended Lowndes High School in Valdosta, GA, where he met the love of his life in 1987 and married in January of 1992, with whom they shared 34 wonderful years together. You could often find him at the local flea market on Sunday mornings trying to get a bargain. He had a hard exterior, but everyone knew he would give you the shirt off his back. His work ethic was steady, strong, and something you could always count on.

Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Debbie Pringle of Valdosta; children, Jennifer Barrett (Hobie) of Savannah, GA, Georgia Harris (Brennan) of Doerun, GA, Jimmy Alexander (Candace) of Jennings, FL, and Phillip Pringle of Valdosta, GA; grandchildren, Makenzie Booth, Harlee Booth, Eden Barrett, Luke Barrett, Wesley Pringle, Eleanor Boone, Caspar Barrett, Grayson Harris, and Langston Harris; siblings, Ada Loss (John) of Dade City, FL, Daphne Covington (David) of Lake Park, GA, Deborah Lee (Robert) of Jennings, FL, Becky Garcia (Che) of Dade City, FL, and Brandy Henderson of Lake Park, GA; step-father, Lamar Keith of Dade City, FL, and a host of grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; mother-in-law, Blanch Starling of Valdosta, GA; uncle, Andy Pringle (Pat) of Westville, FL; special friends, David Hammitt, Jonathan Booth, and Marcus “Little Marcus” Johnson. Mr. Pringle was preceded in death by, brother, Russell Pringle, aunts, Francis Walker, May Flack, Hilda Grogg, and Helen Beckner; uncle, George McCallister.

The funeral service will be held at 2PM on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at Music Funeral Home. Pastor Stoney Gaskins will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior at Music Funeral Home. Kind words and expressions of sympathy can be left for the family at www.musicfuneralservices.com.
