Tom was born April 18, 1946, in Parris Island, SC, the son of the late George Thomas Proctor Sr., and the late Dorothy Nell Dixon Proctor. He was a proud veteran of the US Marines; he exhibited extraordinary bravery and sacrifice for his country. His military service demonstrated a remarkable strength of character. Tom was a truck driver for Trey Hauling. He enjoyed working in the yard and gardening. Tom was known by many for his wonderful pound cakes that he would bake. He was a Christian by faith.
Tom is survived by his wife, Betty Jean Bennett Proctor of Villa Rica, daughters, Melanie Proctor of Daytona Beach, FL and Tammy Proctor of Dallas, GA, brothers, Michael Proctor of Adairsville, GA and Bob Proctor of Douglasville, GA, sister, Elizabeth Ann Keagan of Ft. Myers, FL, three grandchildren also survive.
In keeping with his wishes, he was cremated. No service is planned at this time.
