George Ritchie Obituary
Memorial Service for George Ritchie, age 82, of Sulphur Springs, TX will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at Murray Orwosky Funeral Home, Sulphur Springs, TX. Rev. Robert Mason will officiate. Mr. Ritchie passed away on Sunday, February 4, 2024 at his home in Sulphur Springs, TX.
George Arthur Ritchie was born on February 7, 1941 in Carthage, MO to Newton J. Ritchie and Mildred (Burch) Ritchie. George was the owner/operator of Pro Automotive. He also worked at Jim Smith Mobile for 32 years.
He is survived by daughters, Lori Johnson of Rockwall, Sandra Spencer and husband David of Joplin, MO; son, Devin Ritchie and wife Tina of Wichita, KS and their eight children and twenty-one grandchildren; as well as other grandchildren, Jennifer Fraser, Jeremy Johnson, Jami Johnson, Josh Spencer, Jenny Kendig, Ryan Morris; great-grandchildren, Madison Fraser, McKenzie Fraser, Mallory Gracy, Jackson Kendig, Brooke Davidson, Tyler Kersey, Liam Morris; sisters, Jeannie Daugherty of Pickton, TX, Dorothy Ritchie Hill of Carthage, MO.
George was preceded in death by his parents, Newton J. Ritchie and Mildred (Burch) Ritchie; daughters, Melissa Ritchie, Jerri Winslow; sisters, Margaret Ann Ritchie and Alta Mae Fulgham.
