George's family moved to a farm near Mynard in 1951, where he attended grade school at the Little Brick School and later graduated from Plattsmouth High School in 1966. A devoted member of the Church of the Holy Spirit, George was actively involved in various ministries, serving as a Lector and Acolyte, and he enjoyed a distinguished membership as a 4th Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus. His commitment to the church extended to driving a school bus for community children.
George was not only passionate about his work and community service but also embraced hobbies that brought him joy. An avid bowler, he cherished his time coaching youth bowling in Plattsmouth and fostering a love for the sport in future generations. His pride and joy for the past 50 years was restoring his 1954 Mercury.
