George Beverly Stanley

George Beverly Stanley, age 92, of McDonough, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on September 18, 1933, in Durham, North Carolina, the son of the late Joseph Emory Stanley Sr. and Norma Mae Bryan Stanley. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Phillis Jean Davis Stanley, and his siblings, Bryan, Jack, Bobby, Radford, Carl, Jimmy, and Winona.
Mr. Stanley proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. Following his military service, he went on to spend his career with and retire from General Motors.
He leaves behind his children, Robert Stanley, Billy Stanley, and Tammy O'Kelley (Chris); grandchildren, Matthew Stanley (Alexis), Morgan Stanley (Wil), Jacob O'Kelley (Anna), Jonah O'Kelley (Jill), and Joshua O'Kelley (Autumn); great-grandsons, Kolsten and Dallas; as well as his extended family members and a host of friends.
A service to honor George's life will take place on Saturday, January 10, 2026, beginning at 2:00 PM, in the chapel of Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors.
