Graveside services for George Alexander Steele, age 66, of Roanoke will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2024, at 12:00 noon Central time at Centralhatchee Baptist Church Cemetery with Bro. Parker Barber officiating and Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00-11:00 AM Central time on Saturday, August 31 before going to the cemetery.
Mr. Steele passed away on Sunday, August 18, 2024, at his residence.
Survivors include: one son, Earl Steele of Jacksonville, FL; one sister, Mary Daum of Jacksonville, FL; two brothers, Bob Steele of Roanoke and Wiley Steele of Jacksonville, FL; several nieces and nephews; and his companion, Stacy Denham of Roanoke.
Pallbearers include: Jack Steele, Andy Steele, Dezmin Steele, Dayton Steele, Eli Steele, Gavin Wortham, and Jeremy Wortham.
A LaGrange, Georgia native, Mr. Steele was born on December 21, 1957, the son of Earl Wilford and Janie Kate Anderson Steele. Mr. Steele was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Janice Goulart.

My family met George when we moved next door to him and he has been a great neighbor . My grandson Levi Bailey would go over and talk with him alot and he thought the world of him . Our prayers are with his family may he rest in Peace .
