George Taylor Obituary
Publish in a newspaper
Born in Perth Amboy, he grew up in and resided in Edison for many years.
George was a firefighter for the Township of Edison. He was also on the Menlo Park Volunteer Fire Department and the Edison First Aid Squad #2. George also was the plant manager at Topps Hamburgers in Elizabeth.
George enjoyed fishing, hunting and going to flea markets. George's favorite thing was to spend time with all of his grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his two sons, George E. Taylor III (d.2016), Kevin Taylor (d.2020) and brother-in-law, Robert Trapp.
He is survived by his daughters, Brittney Sigismondi and her husband Frank, of Millstone and Alexis Kennedy and her husband Matthew of New Egypt; daughter-in-law, Patricia Taylor; siblings, Michael Taylor and his wife Angela, Jan Fareseband her husband Mark, and Patricia Trapp; nine grandchildren, Melanie, Justin, George IV, Fiorendo, Gabriella, Sofia, Dominic, Brielle, and Matthew.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 1, 2025 from 4:00-8:00 PM and the funeral service will take place the following day on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at 10am at Costello-Runyon Funeral Home, 1225 Green Street and Cooper Ave., Iselin, followed by the interment in St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia.
