George Terry Obituary

He was a devoted teacher /administrator from 1966 through 1999 in the inner schools of Philadelphia, especially Moffet Elementary School. He won awards and recognition for his teaching skills and served as a positive influence on many students. After retiring he became involved with playing the organ for Holmesburg and Mayfair United Presbyterian Churches. He moved to Mays Landing, NJ where he lived Fairways Community.
He enjoyed working at the Mays Landing Golf Course and playing golf with his friends.
His quick smile and generous spirit will be missed by many people and his family.
George was a beloved father, grandfather, uncle, friend and teacher.
A graveside service will be held on his birthday, Saturday, November 1, 2025, 11:00 am at William Penn Cemetery 13041 Bustleton Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19116.
