George Everett Twiner, age 86, of Diamondhead, passed away on August 29, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Charlene Twiner; his parents, Clarence and Luvenia Twiner; a brother, Bobby Twiner; and a sister, Ruby Allred Chunn.
Mr. Twiner is survived by a daughter, Anita Twiner-Watkins (Deborah); a granddaughter, Amber Deschamp (Brian); 2 sisters, Mary Williams and Jane Ward; 4 great-grandchildren, Sawyer Deschamp, Riley Deschamp, Jackson Deschamp, and Chandler Grace Deschamp; and a beloved caretaker and companion, Lee Bryant.
He was a native of Ruleville, MS and was a longtime resident of Diamondhead. He served honorably in the United States Air Force and later retired as a water works inspector. He was a member of the American Water Works Association for 50 years. Mr. Twiner was a faithful member of Jacob’s Well Baptist Church and he loved reading his bible.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, from 8:30 am - 9:30 am at Jacob's Well Baptist Church. The funeral service will be at 9:30 am in the church. Interment will be in Biloxi National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brian Deschamp, Sawyer Deschamp, Riley Deschamp, Craig Deschamp, Martin Hoda, and Shawn Feazelle.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
