George VonAchen Obituary

George P. VonAchen, 63, of Port St. Lucie, Florida passed away January 21, 2023 in Stuart, FL.
George was born November 7, 1959 to Robert and Marion VonAchen in Hempstead, NY. He married his beloved, Susan in Islamorada, FL on May 12, 2001.
George was employed as an electrician by the city of Fort Lauderdale for 25 years and then 8 years by Martin County.
George loved to fish and was an avid sports fan. He especially loved the NY Jets and Mets. He enjoyed playing baseball and was a member of many baseball leagues over the years. He also loved music and played drums for many bands.
George was known for being a talented cook and a real "people person."
George will be greatly missed by dear family, beloved wife, Susan VonAchen; sons, Brandon and Derek VonAchen of Coral Springs, FL; stepson, Gary Healy of Davie, FL; brothers, Carl (Suzanne) VonAchen, Bob (Laura) VonAchen of Rifle, CO, Tom VonAchen of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Chris VonAchen of Patchogue, NY; sisters, Terri (Ron) Whitmer of Akron, OH, Liz (Jay Yerkes) VonAchen of Melbourne, FL and Karen (Brian) Leary also of Melbourne, Fl; as well as stepmom, Hedy VonAchen of Melbourne, FL. He was predeceased by his parents; mother, Marion VonAchen and father, Robert VonAchen.

Services will be held privately by his family.
