Georgia Lee (Wilson) Delaney, age 51, of Middletown, DE, passed away on Thursday, August 29, 2024.
Born in Wilmington, DE on November 11, 1972, she was a daughter of the late Willard S. and Georgia Lee (Buckley) Wilson, Jr. Georgia graduated from Sanford School and then went onto the University of Delaware where she received her bachelor's in history and teaching. She had a passion for horses and was an avid rider most of her life. That passion extended to art and history as well, as she enjoyed visiting museums in her spare time. Georgia also was a wine enthusiast and found pleasure in sharing her love of wine with others through tastings. Most of all she loved her friends and family, and spending time with them.
Georgia is survived by her daughter, Vivian Delaney; sisters, Wynne Esbitt, Kris Walpus, and Victoria Wilson; and many extended family and friends.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the Penn Medicine Oncology Department for their exceptional care over the past several years.
There will be a Celebration of Life held on Saturday, September 28, 2024, 2-5pm at Broken Spoke Vineyard & Winery, 942 Glebe Road, Earleville, MD.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Georgia's name to the American Cancer Society, P.O.
