Georgia Rose Lindley

Georgia Rose Bowick Lindley, 85, of McCormick, and widow of Herbert Lee Lindley, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, August 8, 2025.
Born November 6, 1939, in McCormick, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Bussey and Lennie Spence Bowick. Georgia was the proud owner and operator of the McCormick Drive-Inn for over 53 years. She was known for her warm hospitality, delicious cooking, and unwavering dedication to her family, friends, and community.
A faithful member of Buffalo Baptist Church, Georgia lived her life with love, generosity, and strength. She found great joy in spending time with her family and was a constant presence in the lives of those she loved.
She is survived by her son, James B. Lindley (Missie) of McCormick; her daughter, Patty L. Smith (Ronny) of McCormick; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her beloved husband, she was predeceased by two sons, Herbert Claude "Pee Wee" Lindley and John Wayne Lindley.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at Buffalo Baptist Church, with Rev. William Willis officiating. Burial will follow in Overbrook Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Blyth Funeral Home on Monday, August 11 from 6-7:30 pm.
The family will be at the home of Mrs. Lindley's son.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Buffalo Baptist Church.
