Georgia Mackey Obituary
Ms. Georgia Ann Mackey aka "Bear" "G", 61, departed from this life on Friday, August 16, 2024. Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, August 23, 2024, at 2 pm at El Shaddai Community Church, Brownfield, TX. Interment will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. Visitations will be held Thursday, August 22, 2024, from 3 pm to 6pm at Griffin Mortuary.
Ms. Georgia Ann Mackey “Bear” “G” was born in Brownfield, TX May 21, 1961. She lived in Brownfield, TX since 1961 until she departed this life on August 16, 2024, at 2 am after a lengthy illness. She was loved by so many family and friends to the moon and back.
She is preceded in death by her parents Daisy Finney and George Heights, her daughter Jessica Mackey, her sister Jennifer Finney, her brother Clarence Mackey, grandparents Olmae Butler, Odalee Mackey and Dave.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her daughter Nedra Mackey, her sons Marcus Mackey, Nathaniel Mackey, and Krue Taylor, her sisters Olalee Finney, Berniece Finney, LaShawnda, Joann, and Delois, her brothers Robert, Chester, and Rufus, her ten grandchildren, her two great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
