Georgia Lucille Morris, known to all as Georgia, passed away in her home in Holt, MI, on December 8, 2024, at the age of 79, surrounded by her loving family. Born on September 20, 1945, in St. Johns, MI, she was the cherished daughter of the late George and Rita McQueen. Georgia's life was a tapestry of family, laughter, and service, woven with the love she so freely gave to everyone she met.
Georgia was the beloved wife of Harold Morris, and together they built a life full of joy and companionship. Their love bore fruit in their wonderful children, Kurt & Ann and Todd & Tracy Morris. Georgia's legacy continued to grow with the blessing of her grandchildren, Gage & Anna, Alexandra, Garett & Brooke, Arianna & Brendan, and Antonia Morris. She was also the proud great-grandmother of Roman, Charlotte, and Oliver Morris. Her family was her pride and joy, and she leaves behind a legacy of love that will be cherished by her numerous nieces and nephews.
A graduate of Portland High School, Georgia's passion for life was paralleled by her dedication to her work. Her career was as diverse and vibrant as her personality. She brought smiles to customers at the Dime Store and Meijer, shared her organizational skills as a Tupperware saleswoman, and brightened the days of many as a receptionist at Michigan State University. However, it was her unique calling as a professional clown, known by many as "Shananigans" that allowed her to connect with people in a special way, bringing joy and laughter into the lives of others.
Art and clowning were not mere hobbies for Georgia; they were her expressions of a loving and adventurous spirit that found beauty and fun in every corner of life. She had an exceptional talent for crafting joy and spreading kindness, touching lives with her artistry and leaving a lasting impression on those fortunate enough to experience her performances.
Georgia was a beacon of light with her loving heart, adventurous soul, and kind demeanor. She approached life with a warmth that drew people to her, and she nurtured the bonds of friendship and community wherever she went.
As we say goodbye to Georgia Lucille Morris, we celebrate a life lived to the fullest. She will be deeply missed, but her laughter, love, and the happy memories she created will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her. Georgia's spirit, now free and unfettered, will always be with us, reminding us to find joy in the little things and to cherish every moment with our loved ones.
A memorial service celebrating the life of Georgia will be held on December 20th at 11:00 a.m. at Pilgrim Global Methodist Church in St. Johns.

I am heartbroken that I didn't know about Georgia's passing We've been friends since 1975 when we met through selling Tupperware. Everything in her obituary described her perfectly. We shared so many great memories, some of which included our husbands. Her husband, Harold, was also known as my "boyfriend", nicknamed by her sons I cherish all those memories and will forever feel blessed to have had such a truly wonderful friend Rest in the peace that you so considerately deserve
