Georgine Bapat

Georgine Buehler Bapat, age 75, of Nekoosa, WI passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 23, 2022 at Edgewater Haven Nursing Home in Port Edwards, WI.
Funeral Services for Georgine will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, January 28, 2022 at Sacred Heart Catholic church in Nekoosa, WI. Rev. John Swing will officiate the service. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Burial will take place immediately following the service at Riverside Cemetery in Nekoosa.
Georgine was born to Louis and Carol (Pomainville) Buehler on September 29, 1946 and attended Assumption High School in Wisconsin Rapids, graduating in 1964. She later received a Bachelor's Degree in medical technology from St. Norbert College in DePere, WI, and worked as a medical technologist at St. Francis Hospital in Milwaukee.
Georgine married Suresh C. Bapat on Novemebr 20, 1976 at St. John's Cathedral in Milwaukee. They lived in New Jersey where she was employed as a medical technologist at Lab Corp and Roche Biomedical, retiring in 2001.
Georgine is survived by her sister-in-law, Sarah Buehler of Nekoosa, Wi; niece, Elizabeth Gutierrez of Nekoosa, WI; nephews, William L. Buehler of La Crosse, WI, and Christian Buehler of Minnesota. Georgine is further survived by her sister-in-law Shehalata (Lilu) Datar of Chennai, India; nephews Arvind of Chennai, India, and Nijan Datar of Massachusetts; and special friends and caretakers Karen Feldner, and Sheila Kulbacki.
She was preceded in death by her Husband Suresh on March 27, 2005; parents; and brother, Leland Buehler of Nekoosa, WI.
Georgine's friends and family would like to thank the entire staff at Edgewater Haven Nursing Home for their kindness and care of Georgine during her time there.
