Georgios and Georgene Avgeris (nee Maniatis), have both fallen asleep in our Lord. Loving parents of Evangelos (Christina) Avgeris and Constantinos (Carly) Avgeris. Proud Pappou and Yiayia of Ari, Sawyer, Rosalie, Leo, Eva, Sofia, and Georgios. Dear siblings of Dean Maniatis, Dimitri Kavathas, Adonia Avgeris Theodropoulou, and the late Zoi Avgeris Lavda. Cherished children the late Evangelos and Georgia Avgeris and Dino and the late Penne Kavathas. Dear theo and thea, cousin, and friend to many who will miss them
Georgios and Georgene were the proud business owners of Uptown Café for 33 years where they worked side by side with Georgene's father and brother. They delighted in truly getting to know their customers and watching their families grow over the years.
Friends and family will meet Wednesday, September 7, at 10AM for visitation with funeral service to follow at 11AM at St. Nectarios Greek Orthodox Church, Palatine, IL. Interment St. Michael the Archangel, Palatine, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in their names to the ALS Hope Foundation or Toys for Tots would be appreciated.
