Gerald J. “Squeak” Cline, 74, Wausau passed away Friday, August 15, 2025 while under the care of Aspirus Hospice at home.

He was born June 21, 1951 in Milwaukee, son of the late John and Naomi (Hakemeier) Cline. He graduated from Wausau High in 1969.

He married Carol Ellei in Wausau, and they had 3 children. They later divorced.

On February 29, 1996 he married Ro-Jeana “Jeanie” Carpenter in Oshkosh. She survives.

Squeak worked on the Northwestern Railroad for over 23 years. After moving back to Wausau, he worked at County Market until his retirement in 2013. Some of his favorite pastimes included chasing trains, traveling, fishing and spending time with Jeanie.

Survivors include his wife Jeanie Cline, his children, Amy, Andrew (Lori) and Kate Cline, his stepsons, James Raisanen and Shannon Raisanen, 2 grandsons, one sister, Susan (Albert) Meyer and a nephew, David (Kelly) Bandock.

Squeak was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, John “Jack” Cline and a nephew, Michael Bandock.

The family would like to thank Hospice In-Home Care and the Hospice Chaplain for their dedicated care.
