Gerald A. Denisof passed away August 3, 2025. He was 89. Born in Philadelphia to Madeleine and Alexis S. Denisof, Gerald attended Germantown Friends School and was a varsity athlete there, then graduated from Penn State.

He took up residence at his family farm in Wetipquin, MD, where he worked a variety of trades, including waterman, carpentry, and farming.

An avid reader, he enjoyed country music, old movies, working outside, and the Eastern Shore of the Chesapeake.

A member of the Eagles and the YMCA, he could often be found there after work, followed by a Salisbury tavern for one drink and the newspaper.

He leaves behind his sister, Antoinette Denisof, of New York, his son Alexis Denisof (II), his daughter in law, Alyson Denisof, and grandchildren Satyana and Keeva Jane Denisof, of Los Angeles, CA.

Among other qualities, he will be remembered for his sense of humor, strength of character, kindness, and a twinkle in his eye.

A celebration of his life will be held 2pm, Saturday, August 16th 2025, at the Westside Volunteer Fire Department, 21045 Nanticoke Rd, Bivalve, MD 21814.

Memorial contributions can be made in Gerald's memory to WVFD, 21045 Nanticoke Rd, PO Box 85, Bivalve, MD 21814, either by mail or online: https://westsidevfd.com.
