Of Hamburg, NY. Beloved husband of Jean (nee Zaccarine) Filipiak; loving father of Lisa (Christopher) Marshall; cherished grandpa of Dominic and Noah Marshall; son of the late Theodore and Dorothy (nee Dryja) Filipiak; dear brother of late Ronald (late Barbara) Filipiak; dearest brother-in-law of Marilynn (Ronald) Dollman, Diane (late Robert) Rizzo, James (Sharon) Zaccarine, Michelle (Mark Adrian) Shawver; best friend and business partner of Lee Webber; also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Gary was a Corvette enthusiast and enjoyed going to cruise nights with his friends. Gary was also a well known residential builder and land developer having completed large projects around Hamburg for many years. The family will be present on Monday from 4 to 7 p.m., at the (Hamburg Chapel) JOHN J. KACZOR FUNERAL HOME, INC., 5453 Southwestern Blvd., corner of Rogers Road, where a funeral service will be held on Tuesday morning at 10 a.m. Entombment and Military Honors will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Hamburg Nursery School. Please share condolences at www.kaczorfunerals.com

i am so sad! he and i were good friends in high school he was always a joy to see when i ran into him and jean they came to my restaurant many times we always shared our enthusiasm about cars. I was there when he bought his first new car 1963 Chevy Impala. he was a good man and he will be missed by all. Rest in peace my friend
