Gerald "Jerry" Ray Gillaspie, 64, of Panama City went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 11, 2025. Jerry was born on March 10, 1961.
Born and raised in Des Moines, IA, he held various jobs throughout the years but found the most joy in his role as a branch manager at Archer. He had a natural curiosity and a knack for tinkering-if something needed fixing, he'd turn to YouTube and master it in no time. Above all, he loved us deeply and always strived to be our hero.
He is preceded in death by his father, Russell Gillaspie.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of over 42 years, Donna Gillaspie; daughters, Stephanie Gillaspie-Shipp and Stacy Gillaspie-Fitzgerald and husband Sean; son, Eric Gillaspie and wife Aimee; grandchildren, Cali Fleming, Isacc Fleming, Taylor Shipp, Sadie Shipp, Connor Fitzgerald, Craig Shipp III, Addi Gillaspie, Aydon Gillaspie, Ellie Fitzgerald, Illa Shipp and Emma Gillaspie; mother, Janis Robins; sisters, Patti Hildman, Debbie Lemke and Sandy Trimble.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 15, 2025, from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at Jenks Ave Church of Christ, 3332 Jenks Ave. Panama City. Services will follow with Minister Daniel Cherry officiating.
