Gerald Lee Gunter, a beloved son, partner, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 3, 2025, at the age of 38 in his hometown of
Lakeland, Florida. Born on November 24, 1986, Gerald brought joy and laughter to the lives of everyone around him.
Gerald was the cherished son of Jerry and Anita Gunter, who instilled in him the values of love, kindness, and compassion. He is survived by his loving life partner of 20 years, Jason Mushaben, and his devoted parents, Jerry and Anita. Gerald was not only a caring brother to Heather and Lamanda Gunter but also an adored uncle to three nieces and four nephews, who will forever cherish the memories they created together. He was also a proud fur dad to Tasha, his beloved pet, who brought him endless joy and companionship.
Throughout his life, Gerald was known for his loving, caring nature and his unwavering devotion to his family and friends. He had a tight-knit circle of loved ones, and he would do anything for them. His spirit was infectious, and he had a unique ability to light up any room he entered. His family and friends will miss his laughter, his warmth, and the comfort of his presence.
Gerald enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially going on walks and strolling along the beach, where he found peace and tranquility.
