His Legacy Gerald Frank Hansen Jr., 60, passed away July 12, 2023. He was born on October 29, 1962, in Ann Arbor, Michigan to Gerald Hansen Sr. and Bonnie (Nicholson) Hansen. Jerry was a talented athlete growing up. Voted First Team All State as a catcher in 1980 and placing 4th at 187 pounds in wrestling. He would spend most of his life in the roofing industry, earning the respect of those around him. His true joy was fishing, making endless trips to Drummond Island both as a child with family, and all through his life. He could fry fish like no one else.
His Family Gerald will be missed by his partner, Tracy Valentine and her son Matt (Stephanie) Northrup; grandchildren, Ben and Henry; siblings, Cindy (Walt) Happy, Roberta, Mark (Marie), and Julie; nephews, Christian, Travis, Jacob and their families; nieces, Brittany, Nikki and their families; many incredible aunts, uncles and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents, Gerald and Bonnie Hansen; and nephew Derek Lund. We are heartbroken and will miss him immensely.
His Farewell A Celebration of Life and luncheon is planned for Friday, August 4, 2023, at the Dexter American Legion for family and close friends from 1PM-4PM. Please leave a message of comfort for Gerald's family at 1-877-231-7900, or sign his guestbook at www.borekjennings.com.
