Gerald “Pimpin” Hodges, age 64, departed this earthly life at his residence on Tuesday, October 21, 2025. He was a native and resident of New Orleans, LA. Gerald was formerly employed as a chef. Beloved husband of Lavell Fleming Hodges. Loving father of Destiny Bennett, Gerrika Hodges, Gemika Hodge, Renee Fleming, Rinnika Hodges, Kate, and the late Gerald Hodges, Jr. Stepfather of Lorilime Fleming, Dorance Fleming, and Oreroyounda Fleming. Devoted grandfather of Raheim Fleming, King Hodges, Lavell Fleming, TJ Brandon, King Brandon, Dorance Fleming, Mickey Fleming, Nicholas Wix, Jr.. and Cy’nhia Henry. Great grandfather of Jayden Devoid Jefferson, Jr. Ron McGrew, and Jucaz McGrew. Son of the late Gerald Gant and Katie Mae Hodges. Gerald was reared by his loving grandparents Claude Hodges, Sr. and Geneva Phillips Brown; he was also the grandson of the late Katie Mae Reddicks Brother of Tika Gant and Toya Gant. Best friend of Ernest Quinn. Also cherishing his memories are a host aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends who loved him beyond measure. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Davis Mortuary Service, 6820 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, LA on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at 10:00a.m. Pastor Warren Jones of New Salem Baptist Church, officiating.
