Gerald Richard Kacmarik, born on September 24, 1947, in Clairton, Pennsylvania, passed away suddenly January 20, 2025, surrounded by family and friends. Jerry was a devoted husband, father, brother, and friend who touched the lives of many with his kindness and generous spirit.
He proudly served his country in the United States Navy and later built a career as a Driver and Distributor with Matheson Tri Gas. Known for his patience and willingness to help anyone in need, Jerry was a man of integrity and warmth.
Jerry had a passion for traveling and enjoyed many memorable cruises with his family. He cherished his time at the monthly breakfast club with his high school friends and was an avid fan of sports, particularly West Virginia University, Pittsburgh Steelers, Pittsburgh Pirates and West Liberty University Basketball. As a devoted husband to Nikki and doting father to Katie, Jerry was very proud of all of their accomplishments and especially proud of Katie's professional success as a pharmacist. He was known for his impeccable style-always matching his outfits, and he had a special fondness for hats, shoes and watches.
A man of faith, Jerry was a member of the Catholic Church. He is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Paul and Helen (Resetar) Kacmarik, his sister Joan Lewis, and his in-laws, Charles and Nedra Drobac, and sister-in-law Connie Drobac.
Jerry leaves behind his loving wife of 50 years, Nikki (Drobac) Kacmarik, daughter, Katie Kacmarik, and his brother, Paul (Kathy) Kacmarik. He will be dearly missed by his in-laws, Charles Drobac, Jr and Alexandra (Nick) Vudrag, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. His lifelong friends Dennis Martini, Ken Hopkins, George Kich, Ron DeBellis, and Chuck Hall meant so much to him, and will forever cherish his memory.

Wheeling, WV, on Friday, January 24th, from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at 12:00 PM. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, 1526 National Road,
Wheeling, WV, 26003.
Jerry will be remembered for his unwavering kindness, his love for adventure, and his ability to bring joy to those around him. He will be greatly missed but never forgotten. Jerry left a lasting gift of love to the world by proudly being an organ donor. May he rest in eternal peace.
