Gerald R. Krauser "Jerry", a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on January 3, 2026, at the age of 83. Born on June 19, 1942, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Jerry lived a life rich in love, commitment, and service to his family and community.

Jerry attended Elder High School and Western Hills High School where he cultivated lifelong friendships and cherished memories. He was a mechanic for over 40 years retiring from UPS in 2003. He had a passion for fixing things and helping others learn alongside him. He could always be found working on his latest project in the garage.

Jerry's personality was truly one of a kind. Family meant everything to him, and he approached all relationships with a caring heart and a big kiss. He loved to share his interests, including golf, motocross and water skiing—where he showcased his skills as a competition trick skier. Jerry played a pivotal role in coaching youth sports, particularly soccer; many kids were positively impacted by “Mr. K”. His enthusiasm for life resonated in every grandchild’s event he attended. Each of them loved to hear Papa cheering from the sidelines. He was their biggest fan.

Beloved by many, Jerry was the proud husband of Joan Krauser (nee Riegler) for 61 years, and they shared a love story that began in childhood when he married the girl next door. Together, they raised a family of four: Julie Krauser, Jodi (John) Volker, Jerry (Gail) Krauser, and Jeff (Rosie) Krauser. He took immense pride in his roles as a husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, leaving behind a legacy of love reflected in the lives of his grandchildren: Kayla (Andrew), Nini (Aaron), Kenny, Danni, Cassie (Brian), Reebie, Riley, Abby, Nick, Callie, Michael, and Matthew, and great-grandchildren: Aiden, Amelia, Margot, Arthur, Oliver, Beau, and Samuel.

Jerry is also remembered as a brother to Jim (Dova) Krauser and brother-in-law to Sherrie Krauser. His warmth and kindness extended to many as a cousin, uncle, neighbor and friend.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Philip and Evelyn Krauser, his Aunt "Mom" Dorothy (Paul) Krauser, and his brothers, Philip (Jan) Krauser, Dale Krauser and sister Judy Krauser.

His memories include treasured family vacations, his endless “away games” working on our DIY projects, golfing and days at the pool. Jerry will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him, and his legacy will live on through the love and laughter he brought to his family.

Family will greet friends Friday, January 16, 2026 from 5:30 PM until 8 PM at the Vitt, Stermer & Anerson Funeral Home, 4619 Delhi Rd.  Funeral Mass will be Saturday 10 AM at Holy Family Church. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
