Gerald R. Marschke

Gerald R. Marschke, MD, of Hendersonville, NC, was received into Heaven on April 11, 2023. The St. Paul, MN native was 92 years old. Dr. Marschke enjoyed a rewarding medical career in California before retiring to North Carolina 25 years ago. He is also retired from a thirteen year career as a Reserve Deputy for the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. Gerald was an avid bicycle rider. He has appreciated the satisfaction and friendships that his position as a volunteer physician at ABCCM has brought him during his retirement years. Gerald has also cherished the fellowship and support of the Brevard Wesleyan Church. He will be laid to rest at a graveside service in Pennsylvania.
Gerald is preceded in death by his beloved son, Steven Marschke, and brother, Roderic Marschke. He is survived by his wife, Joyce (Mordan) Marschke and brothers, Jon and Charles Marschke. He is also survived by his children, Gerald Jr., Susan, and Craig Marschke, and grandchildren, Andrea, Hannah, Joseph, and Lillian.
