Gerald Wayne Moles, 65 of Laurel Fork, peacefully passed
away at his home on Wednesday, October 16, 2024. He is preceded in death by his
parents, Ollie & Betty Moles; son, Jeremy Moles; and brother, Steve Moles.
Gerald was known for his friendly demeanor and great sense
of humor, which endeared him to many. In previous years, Gerald worked
alongside his father in lawn care and tree trimming, a career that brought him
much fulfillment. He was passionate about classic cars, often attending car
shows where he shared his love with fellow enthusiasts. Above all, Gerald
cherished the time spent with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Pat Moles; children, Jessica
Hash (Zack Lineback), Michelle Quesenberry (Barry Moore, Jr.), and Jeremy
Dalton (Hope Smith); grandchildren, Brandon Williams, Brooklyn Owens (Shane),
Taylor Lyons, Calli Hash, Westen Hash, Josey Dalton, Justice Dalton, Tristan
Lineback, and Kendyn Smith; great-grandchildren, Caroline Owens and Shealon
Williams; siblings, Kathy Moles and Tommy Moles (Crystal); and many special
nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday,
October 18, 2024 in the Maberry Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Howard Nester
officiating. Interment will follow in the Alderman Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30
p.m. until 2 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made payable to the
Alderman Cemetery c/o Gerald Hylton, 1515 Moles Rd., Willis, VA, 24380.
