Gerald Wayne Montgomery, 69 of Flemingsburg, Kentucky passed away Saturday, March 30, 2024 at his home.

He was born on Thursday, March 24, 1955 in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky a son of Wilma Jenkins Reynolds and the late Corbett Montgomery.

Gerald enjoyed going to the local auctions, collecting antiques, fishing, hunting, going to the dirt track races, and was an avid UK basketball fan.

He was preceded in death by his father. 

Survivors include his wife Debra Molton Montgomery of Flemingsburg whom he married January 31, 1988; his mother, Wilma Jenkins Reynolds of Lexington, Kentucky; two daughters, Mary Katherine Montgomery of Elizaville, Kentucky and Chasity Pilson of Sevierville, Tennessee; three grandchildren, Lily Hamilton, Tristan Gardner, and Kylar Gardner.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday April 3, 2024 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Flemingsburg with Brother James Ray Hickerson officiating.

Gerald will be laid to rest in the Elizaville cemetery.

Visitation is from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Casket bearers will be David Edmond, John Edmond, Bobby Pollitt, Dean Hampton, David Corbin, and Jason Hamilton.

Honorary casket bearers will be Scott Manning and Gerald Wayne Strange.

All arrangements for Gerald Wayne Montgomery and family are under the care and direction of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home 405 South Main Cross Street, Flemingsburg, Kentucky 41041.
