Gerald Rapp Obituary
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, May 10, 2025 at Buchanan/Rembs Funeral Home, Pittsville with visitation from 12:30 pm until the time of service. Military rites will be conducted by American Legion Post 153 – Pittsville at the funeral home following the service.
Gerald was born on January 23, 1940 in Milwaukee to Raymond and Rose (Kopecky) Rapp. He was united in marriage to Joan Cravens in Craven County, North Carolina in 1962.
Gerald liked to hunt and fish. He spent a lot of time working on projects on his property.
He is survived by his wife, Joan, daughters, Donna (Gary) Boldt of Raymond/Racine and Diana (Andy) Epperly of Wauwatosa, grandchildren, Adrian (Stacey) Boldt, Monica Boldt, Samantha (Tom) House, Mason Epperly, and Marissa Epperly, and great grandchildren, Adyen, Brooklyn, Bystol, and Lyncoln.
He is further survived by his half brother, Mark Langtree.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Rose, daughter, Karen Rapp, great granddaughter, Londyn, and brother, Don Rapp.

Jerry always had a smile on his face, was ready to offer a helping hand or words of wisdom, and he loved interacting with his co-workers. We were so grateful to have found Jerry & Joan in Pittsville last summer to enjoy a delicious fish fry and visit their property with the guys taking a spin on his ATVs. Our thoughts and prayers are showering you and the family, Joan, as you grieve your loss and rest in eternal peace, Jerry.

Hi Joan and Family: We are so sorry for your loss. We remember when we always had pool get togethers at our home. Everyone always had a good time. It has been a long time. Jerry was a kind person and always willing to help anyone who needed it.

Jerry will always be remembered as someone who was always willing to help or just listen. I worked 25 years with Jerry and he was positive and eager to take on projects every day. He made a positive impact on everyone he interacted with.
