Gerald “Jerry” Francis Seeger age 91 of Duluth passed away on May 16, 2023. He was born in Ashland, WI to parents, Joseph Francis "Frank" Seeger and Royanne "Ann" (Roy) Seeger. He married the love of his life, Marjorie Hillmer, on August 25, 1973, and together they raised two beautiful daughters in Oakdale, MN (a St. Paul MN suburb). Jerry graduated from DePadua High School in 1950, worked on large ships on the Great Lakes, served in the Korean War and completed courses in HVAC (Heating, Ventilating, and Air Conditioning), Refrigeration and Pneumatics at Dunwoody Technical Institute in Mpls, MN. Jerry worked as a commercial HVAC manager at Fort Snelling VA and later for the GSA federal government buildings. Jerry loves his family and the Lord Jesus Christ. He bravely suffered in the last 3 years of declining health and relied on family and chaplains for prayers. Jerry said his favorite prayer was the Lord's Prayer. Jerry said he was "waiting to go up to the sky". He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Carl (Marilyn) & Eugene (Suzy); and brother-in-law, Dennis Donahue. Jerry is survived by his wife, Marjorie; daughters, Michelle (Nathan) Hoffmann, and Laura Woltmann; grandchildren, Luke, Faith, Emma; Travis (Molly), Zachary, Isaac, and Joseph; sister, Mary Jane Donahue; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. VISITATION, Saturday, August 12 from 10:00 a.m. until the start of a Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m. in St. Michaels Catholic Church, 4901 E Superior St, Duluth, MN 55804. Memorials preferred to the Alzheimer’s Association.
