Geraldine Deloris "Jerry" (Booth)

Mrs. Geraldine Deloris "Jerry" Booth Wagner, age 88, a resident of the Ten Mile Community near Belington departed this life late Thursday evening August 21, 2025 in the comfort of her own home. Although unexpected, death was following a lengthy illness.

She was born October 8, 1936 at Elkins, WV, a daughter of the late Isaac Corbett and Ella Deloris Foster Booth. On October 11, 1952 she was united in marriage to William Richard "Johnson" Wagner, who preceded her in death on March 9, 2009.

She is survived by three daughters; Verlin McCulley and husband Ralph of Akron, Ohio, Sherry Whited and husband Larry of Belington and Tracey Hershman and husband Rick of Belington, one son; Richard Wagner of Belington, one brother; Harold Booth and wife Linda of Mt. Liberty, two sisters-in-law; Opal Wagner of Belington and Edna Wagner of Akron, OH and one daughter-in-law; Doris Wagner of Belington. Additional survivors include twelve grandchildren, all of which called her "grandma" Jill and husband Larry, Christopher, Rachel and husband Greg, Melissa and husband George, Philip, Amanda, Jason and fiancé Mandy, Josh and wife Traci, Brandi and husband Brent, Jessica and companion Josh, Jamie, and Nicholas, twenty-one great-grandchildren all of which called her "dumplin' maw" and five great great-grandchildren with one expected in February.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sons; Danny Wagner and Steven Dennis Wagner, three sisters; Adalene Jones, Betty Bowman and Janet Wagner and one infant brother; Corbett Booth.

Jerry attended the schools of Barbour County and was a homemaker. Before her health no longer allowed her, she attended the Faithway Baptist Church where she also taught junior church. Years ago, she also taught Sunday school at Akron Baptist Temple in Akron, Ohio. She loved her grandchildren and looked forward to each and every visit with them. She enjoyed canning and was a meticulous house keeper. She loved all of her family very much and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Friends will be received from the Talbott Funeral Home 56 N. Brandenburg Street in Belington on Tuesday August 26, 2025 from 6 PM – 8 PM and again on Wednesday August 27, 2025 from 8 AM – 11 AM the funeral hour when final rites will be conducted from the funeral home chapel with the Pastor David Canny officiating. Interment will follow in the Wagner Family Cemetery near Belington.
