Geraldine was born in Manhattan, NY on January 4, 1931, the daughter of Geraldo and Cecilia (Namoli) De Persis.
Geraldine was married to Arthur Bougades. He passed away in 1982
Geraldine was a Direct Care Giver at the Cardinal Hayes Home for Children in Millbrook, NY enriching the lives of all the children who were in her care.
Geraldine was very active with St. Denis Church where she knitted hats and scarves and blankets for babies and the homeless. She also served at retreats for many years at Mt. Alvernia in Wappingers Falls and taught C.C.D. at St. Columba/St. Denis.
Geraldine is survived by her children: Donna Bougades, Gloria Knapp and her husband Gene, Lynn Snyder, Arthur Bougades and Manelous Bougades and his wife Loretta. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 21 Great-grandchldren and 2 Great-Great Grandchildren, her sister Sylvia Fiammetta and a passel of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband Geraldine is predeceased by a brother Ersilio and sister Marie.
Calling hours will be Sunday July 24, 2022, at the McHoul Funeral Home Inc. 895 Route 82 Hopewell Junction, NY from 2pm-6pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday at St. Denis Church 602 Beekman Road Hopewell Junction, NY at 10am with interment to follow in St. Denis Cemetery.
