Geraldine Cerasuolo, 75, has entered into eternal rest on Oct 7, 2025 at NY Presbyterian Hospital Hudson Valley, NY with her loving husband, Joseph, by her side.
Born on July 9, 1950, Geraldine [Gerry] was the beloved daughter of the late Rudolph Cozzi and Marion Corvino Cozzi. She grew up in Yonkers, NY where she married her true love, moved to Mahopac, NY and eventually Carmel, NY, where Gerry and Joe built their dream house together.
Gerry graduated Commerce High School in Yonkers, NY. She was the proud owner of JGC Construction alongside Joe for 39 years. She also worked at the Mt. Kisco Senior Center where she made many lifelong friends. She will be remembered for her sense of humor, her dedication to her family and friends and her love of baking. She loved animals and cared for the family horses.
Gerry's passion was her family. She loved being together on family vacations, whether they were on a cruise or an Island or at Disney, that's what made her happy. Hosting family get togethers also gave her joy. Her favorite holiday was Christmas and all the traditions that made it so special to her. She made sure to instill the traditions that she loved into her family, from decorating the tree to making Christmas cookies especially the family favorite pizzelles.
At 60 years old Gerry suffered a stroke that severely changed her life. She fought bravely to regain her former way of life with Joe by her side every step of the way. Her inspiration was her family, especially her grandchildren. She was determined to be there to watch them grow up. Gerry had encountered so many recent health problems we count ourselves so blessed she was able to celebrate all the family milestones that she did. We will miss her.
She is survived by her devoted spouse, Joseph Cerasuolo of Carmel, NY, and her loving daughters Paulette Marino of Carmel NY, Renee Falk and her husband Benjamin of Yorktown Heights, NY and four cherished grandchildren, Anna-Rose, Juliette, Jack and Lyla.
She was predeceased by her sister, Elise Marion Wright.
The Family will be present to receive friends at Joseph J Smith Funeral Home. 692 US-6 Mahopac NY 10541, on Sunday October 12th from 2-6PM.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday October 13th at 11:30 am At St John the Evangelist RC Church Mahopac NY.
