Geraldine "Geri" Geoghegan, age 84, of Shelton peacefully entered into eternal rest on Monday May 26, 2025 at Griffin Hospital in Derby. She was the beloved wife of the late Edward J. Geoghegan. She was born in Stamford CT on April 22, 1941 the daughter of the late Eugene and Margaret (Caughey) Palucci.
Geri spent many years working in the Accounts Payable department at Olin & Arch Chemical before her retirement. She kept busy following her retirement by taking a part time job at the Beardsley Zoo where she loved talking with all of the guests and families. She enjoyed taking trips to the casino and spending time with her family. Geri especially cherished Sunday family dinners and making everyone her famous homemade meatballs.
She is survived by her daughters Karen Ann McDonald and her husband Scott (Shelton) and Stacy Ann Geoghegan (Waterbury), her grandchildren Catherine Keefe and her husband Thomas (Virginia), Connor McDonald (Washington DC) and Maggie McDonald (Shelton), her sister Audrey Mantegna (California), her sister-in-law Linda Palucci (Florida), several nieces and nephews, and Kelly Razzaia and her sons Nicholas and Robert (Shelton) whom she considered to be like members of her own family. She was predeceased by her brother Eugene "Sonny" Palucci.
Friends are invited to greet Geri's family on Thursday May 29 from 4 to 7 PM in the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Rd. Shelton. On Friday everyone is invited to go directly to St. Lawrence Church, 505 Shelton Ave. Shelton, for her Mass of Christian Burial at 1 PM. Burial will be privately held with her immediate family in attendance. Online condolences can be left for Geri's family at www.riverviewfh.com.
