Geraldine Ann “Gerrie” Heibel, age 97, of Meadville passed away Friday afternoon October 31, 2025, in Wesbury United Methodist Retirement Community.
She was born in Erie, PA on March 5, 1928, a daughter of Robert F. and Erma B. (Martz) Hoffman.
She was a 1946 graduate of Erie East High School.
On August 1, 1953, Gerrie married Jerome J. Heibel, he passed away on November 21, 1999.
She was employed as an administrative secretary for the city of Meadville for 21 years, retiring in 1989 and previously worked for General Telephone in Erie then Meadville Telephone Co.
She was a former member of Meadville Garden Club and Hilltop Garden Group.
Gerrie enjoyed gardening, golfing, bowling, and antiques.
She is survived by her son, Jeffrey Heibel and his wife Donna of Meadville; two grandchildren, Stephenie Jastromb and her husband Teddy and Jerracah Gray and her husband Jordan; two great granddaughters, Raelyn and Scarlet Jastromb; one great grandson, Oliver Gray, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, grandson Shawn Heibel, and a sister Marion Haus.
A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday 11-6-25 at 2:00 PM in ROSE AND WAID FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, INC 581 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE. Family and friends will be received on Thursday, 11-6-25 from 12:00 PM until the time of service. Burial will be in Greendale Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Wesbury Foundation 31 N. Park Ave. Meadville, PA 16335.
