She was born in Buchanan County and was the daughter of Pearl Mayhorn Nipper of Richlands, Virginia, and the late Robert J. Nipper.
She had made her home in the Richlands area most of her life and was a caregiver to many throughout her life.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a sister, Lisa Nipper; and one brother, Roger Nipper.
Survivors are:
Mother: Pearl Mayhorn Nipper of Richlands, Virginia
Sons:
Chris White and wife, Brandy of Gray, Georgia
Barry White and Brandy Neumans of Dexter, Georgia
Michael Smith and wife, Tiffany Anderson of East Dublin, Georgia
Sisters:
Marlene Griffith of Glen Daniel, West Virginia
Julie Nipper of West Virginia
Ola Gay "Gail" Smith of Richlands, Virginia
Brothers:
Jody Nipper of Richlands, Virginia
Terry Nipper of Columbia, SC
Michael Nipper of Rocky Mount, Virginia
Thomas Nipper of Richlands, Virginia
T.J. Nipper of West Virginia
Fourteen Grandchildren also survive.
A visitation service for Geraldine "Deana" Hensley Nipper will be conducted Saturday, May 25, 2024, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home in Richlands, Virginia. Family and friends are welcome to visit with the family during this time. Hurst-Scott Funeral Home in Richlands is in charge of arrangements and those wishing to express sympathy online may do so at www.hurstscottfuneralhomes.com
