Westernport, MD – Geraldine Elizabeth Offutt, of Westernport, MD, passed away Saturday, October 18, 2025, at UPMC-Western Maryland.
Born September 24, 1941, in Cumberland, MD, Mrs. Offutt was the daughter of the late Joseph Witt and Gladys (Sturtz) Witt. She was also preceded in death by her husband: Charles Offutt, Jr. and a brother: Charles Witt.
Geraldine was a graduate of Meyersdale High School and received her homemakers degree from FHA. She was the Meyersdale Maple Princess. Geraldine's first job was at Lazurus, and then she worked for Howard Johnsons. She was an interior decorator for many companies, as well as an amazing sales person for multiple companies.
Geraldine is survived by her children: Charles Offutt, III and wife, Fatima; Daniel Offutt; Christopher Offutt and wife, Terri; Tammy Martin and husband, Timothy; and Cheryl Clark and husband, Shawn; her grandchildren: Anthony Offutt, Amanda Clawson, Shelby McGregor, Craig Offutt, Nina Martin, Nicole Perkins, CJ Yantz, Adam Martin, Aspen Veronick, Izzie Veronick, Ivie Clark, Kenley Clark, and Khloe Clark. She is also survived by her brother: Richard Witt; and her sister-in-law: Linda Witt; as well as numerous great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur Street, Cumberland, MD, (www.AdamsFamilyFuneralHome.com) on Thursday, October 23, 2025, from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Mountains Parish, St. Patrick's Catholic Church, on Friday, October 24, 2025, at 11:00 A.M., with Father Steve Fernandes, OFM, Cap. as celebrant.
Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
