Geraldine "Jeri" Stack

Geraldine "Jeri" Stack, went to Our Lord's Arms surrounded by the love of her children on December 2, 2025. She was born on July 10, 1939 in Chicago.
Jeri is survived by her loving children, Michael Kamm, Elizabeth (Joseph) Hunter, Laura (Erik) Dunklau, and Linda Tafelsky; her cherished grandchildren, Justin (Heather) Kamm, Ryan (Adrienne) Kamm, Tyler Kamm, Ashley (Kyle) Wood, Nicholaus and Olivia Dunklau, Maximus, Marcus and Jack Tafelsky and great-grandchildren, KJ and Robbie Wood, Alexis Teasley.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Melvin J. Kamm and her recent husband, Hon. James F. Stack; her brother, Louis (the late Lynelle) Falcone.
Jeri was a devoted lover of the arts-an opera enthusiast and a gifted concert pianist in her younger years who studied in Italy and carried her passion for music throughout her life. She found joy in gardening, bird feeding and creating beauty wherever she lived. Long Beach, Indiana was her cherished sanctuary; the beach house there held her happiest memories with friends and family. Filled with beloved pieces gifted by those she loved, it was a place of warmth, laughter, and countless treasured moments.
Some of her greatest joys were watching the kids swim in Lake Michigan, sharing pizza on the beach, and dancing around the house to Louis Prima with her beloved James. A woman of deep faith, Jeri was a faithful Catholic for whom Mass at St. Dennis and St. Stanislaus was essential and grounding. She also delighted in meals at her favorite restaurants, savoring the company as much as the food. Jeri's life was rich with love, beauty, and devotion-an enduring legacy felt by all who knew her.
For those who would like to leave a lasting tribute to Jeri's life, memorial donations may be directed to Haymarket, Tunnel to Towers, Wounded Warriors, or St Thomas Hospice.
Visitation will be Tuesday, December 9, 9:30-10:30 AM at St. Dennis Catholic Church, Lockport. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM. Interment will follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside. Overman-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Plainfield, was entrusted with arrangements.
