Gerard Dimuro Obituary
Publish in a newspaper
Born in the Bronx, Gerard was a career NYPD homicide detective (although he oftentimes couldn't solve the mystery of where his keys went); the greatest exaggerator of his generation (if not of all-time); a ham; a beyond-voracious eater; a great listener, even if he did interrupt conversations constantly; and a loving father and husband. In fact, all he that was, was too much than an obituary can capture.
He also didn't like things to get too sad or serious. So in the spirit of Gerard - who's gone but will never be gone - let's keep it light. And "Let's eat."

Our heartfelt condolences go out to Vincenza, Gina and Claudia. I have only wonderful memories of growing up with Gerard. He was more like a brother, than a cousin. Gerard always made me laugh...and that´s what I will remember most about him. He was a loving son, a devoted husband and father...truly one of the Good Guys.. I know he was known as Gerry, but he will always be "Rardy" to me. May he Rest in Peace. Love, Donna Jean and Matt

Thank you for allowing me to share a desk with you. I´m sorry I took it over with my toys. Remember the Mark Richardson case. Good stuff. I loved watching you work. It was like a Colombo tv/movie. You were definitely a style that I tried to copy for my detective arsenal. I would always speak of you with fondness and did so recently, a week before your passing.
My condolences to your family. I know Gerry will be missed.
