Poughkeepsie- Edward John DiMuro, a resident of Poughkeepsie, NY since 2017, passed away on December 21, 2024, surrounded by his loving and devoted family.
Ed was born on September 6, 1947 in New York, NY, the son of the late John and Rose (Nigro) DiMuro.
He attended Evander Childs High School graduating in 1965 as the class Valedictorian. He then went on to further his education at Tufts University obtaining his Bachelor's Degree in Psychology in 1968.
On September 28, 1969, he married the love of his life, Nancy (Figarella), at Annunciation Church in Crestwood, NY. She survives at home.
Edward proudly served his country from 1969-1972 in the United States Air Force achieving the rank of Captain.
In 2013, Edward retired from Heaven Hill Distillers in Louisville, KY where he was a Sales Manager.
Ed was a great lover of music, especially from the 60's, 70's and 80's. He enjoyed sci-fi and spy books, movies and tv. He was a lifelong Yankees Fan.
In addition to his wife Nancy, Edward is survived by his loving daughters Jessica Sherman and her husband Jerry Sherman of LaGrangeville, NY, Gabrielle DiMuro and her husband Shin Inoue of Poughkeepsie, NY, and Diana DiMuro and her partner Mike Burdge of Poughkeepsie, NY.
At this time all services will be private.
Memorial donations can be made in Edward's name to Hudson Valley Hospice at www.hvhospice.org
